{"id":877,"date":"2021-10-18T01:09:16","date_gmt":"2021-10-18T01:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/easterniowamonument.com\/new\/?page_id=877"},"modified":"2023-09-14T17:01:31","modified_gmt":"2023-09-14T17:01:31","slug":"headstones","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/easterniowamonument.com\/new\/headstones\/","title":{"rendered":"Headstones"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Headstones<\/h2>\n<h2>Different Types of Headstones<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 21px !important;\">Headstones are made from different types of stones. &nbsp;Granite, Marble, Limestone, Sandstone, and Slate are the common types of stones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 21px !important;\">We recommend Granite as that is one of the most popular, attractive, and durable types of headstones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 21px !important;\">After you select your style of granite from our inventory, we sit down with you and help you decide the text, slogan, pictures, or graphics that are best suited for the loss of your loved one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 21px !important;\">We create your own unique design on our computer for a draft of what your headstone will look like before we start creating the actual headstone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 21px !important;\">Upon your approval, we then&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Headstone\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"outline: none;\">sandblast<\/a>&nbsp;and paint your monument.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 21px !important;\">We can then install your headstone in the cemetery you choose.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Headstone monuments can be of the following types:<\/h3>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 21px !important;\">Flat markers:<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 21px !important;\">&nbsp;These are set flush to the ground. These monuments are just raised a few inches off the ground; hence, they are known as raised flat markers. &nbsp;These flat markers are usually granite. &nbsp;They come in a variety of colors and can feature textures, symbols, shapes, designs, and images.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 21px !important;\"><strong>Slant Markers:<\/strong>&nbsp; These monuments have a wide base that angles up (generally at 45 degrees) to a tapered top. Thus, it has a slanting front or a sloping back mounted on a granite or cement foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 21px !important;\"><strong>Bevel Markers<\/strong>:&nbsp; A bevel marker is similar to a slant marker, but it doesn&#8217;t have as steep an angle. The back edge of this marker is raised two to four inches higher than its front edge.&nbsp; It looks a little bit like a flat marker, but it is raised more inches above the ground.&nbsp; These markers will mark the resting place of a loved one for centuries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 21px !important;\"><strong>Upright Monument<\/strong>: These monuments have an upright headstone at the top and a \u2018base\u2019 at the bottom. Upright Monuments thus, have two pieces.
